Sewer Lateral Camera Review

The function of a Sewer Lateral Camera Review
To find out if there are any concerns with the sewer lateral line of a home or building, we can have our sewer lateral sub contractor perform an inspection of the sewer lateral line using a fiber optic camera. Under most circumstances, our sub contractor will perform this inspection during the building inspection. You will be provided with a report, and a VHS tape of the inspection, as seen from the camera in the sewer lateral line.

What is a sewer lateral line anyway?
A lateral sewer service line is a sewer line, which extends from the building, under or through the foundation wall or exterior wall to the sewer main in the street, sewer easement, or private drain system. Tree roots can migrate toward a sewer lateral line and constrict it. Cast iron pipes can deteriorate and poor workmanship can affect its ability to perform properly causing potential sewer back-up and damage.
